Abstract :The purpose of this research is to re-explore the traditional Mahanggu dance which leads to a property product,
namely Rapai from the North Nias area. In this study using the type of research and observation method (Research
And Development or R&D). The location of this research was conducted in the city of Medan. Data collection
techniques by conducting observations (observations), interviews and documentation. The collected data will then be
analyzed through a qualitative paradigm using the Project Based Research method, which is obtained from data
reduction, presentation and drawing a conclusion. To find the validity (validity) of the data obtained, it will be done
with source triangulation models and technical triangulation. The results of this dance property development can be
used for Mahanggu dance performances at local, national and international events.
